Clinique Dr. Laurent Médecine Privée & Esthétique ("we", "the Clinic") takes the protection of your personal and health information seriously. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and retain your information, in compliance with Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25) and Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
1. Person Responsible for the Protection of Personal Information

2. Information Collected
We may collect the following categories of information: name, contact details (address, phone, email), date of birth, health insurance number (RAMQ), private insurance information, relevant medical history, medications, allergies, before/after clinical photographs (with consent), payment information, and technical data (IP address, cookies).
3. Purposes of Collection
Your information is used for: provision of medical and aesthetic care, management of your appointments and file, billing, compliance with our legal and professional obligations (Collège des médecins du Québec), clinical communication, and — with your separate explicit consent — marketing and promotional reminders.
4. Consent
We obtain your free, informed, and express consent before collecting any sensitive information, including health information. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us. Withdrawing consent may limit our ability to provide certain services.
5. Disclosure to Third Parties
Your information may be disclosed to the following categories of service providers, only to the extent strictly necessary for their services: • Electronic medical records system (MEDFAR Solutions Cliniques — MYLE), hosted in Quebec • Customer relationship management platform, hosted in the United States • Website hosting platform, hosted in the United States • Payment processor (Stripe), hosted in the United States • SMS messaging gateway • AI voice booking platform Each of these providers is contractually bound to confidentiality and security obligations at least equivalent to ours. The detailed list of providers is available on request from the Person Responsible for the Protection of Personal Information.
6. Disclosure Outside Quebec
Pursuant to article 17 of Law 25, we inform you that some of your information may be disclosed to providers established outside Quebec, notably in the United States. Before any such disclosure, we conduct a privacy impact assessment to ensure that the information will receive adequate protection.
7. Retention Period
Your medical records are retained for a minimum of five (5) years after the last service rendered, in accordance with the requirements of the Collège des médecins du Québec. Information used for marketing purposes is retained until your consent is withdrawn. Beyond these periods, information is securely destroyed or anonymized.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to: • access your personal information • request its rectification • withdraw your consent at any time • request cessation of its dissemination or deindexation (since Sept. 2024) • request portability of your information (Law 25, art. 27) • file a complaint with Quebec's Commission d'accès à l'information (cai.gouv.qc.ca) We respond to any request within 30 days of receipt.
9. Confidentiality Incidents
In the event of a confidentiality incident presenting a serious risk of harm, we notify the Commission d'accès à l'information and the affected individuals without delay, in compliance with Law 25.
10. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Our site uses cookies essential to the site's operation (enabled by default) and, subject to your consent, analytics and marketing cookies (Google Analytics, Meta Pixel). You may accept or refuse non-essential cookies via the consent banner, and change your preferences at any time.
11. Protection of Minors
We do not knowingly collect information from minors under 14 without written consent from a parent or guardian. No commercial profiling is performed on minors.
12. Changes
We may modify this policy. Any significant change will be communicated and the last-updated date will be revised.
